Information you provide. If you use our "Add a swimming hole" form, we collect the swimming hole name, location, city, state, any details you enter, and — if you choose to share it — your email address, so we can follow up if we have questions about your submission.

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) logs standard technical information for every visit, including IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed. We use this in aggregate to understand traffic and site performance — we don't use it to identify individual visitors. We also record aggregate click data on affiliate product links to understand which recommendations are useful.
Cookies and advertising. We display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site — currently Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, analytics) and Airtable (submission storage) — and with Google and Amazon, for advertising and affiliate tracking. Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.
